Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) is an obligatory stage which starts at the age of 12 and lasts 4 years. The objective is to prepare the students for their forthcoming studies or for working life (obtaining Secondary School leaving certificate).
During these years, the students, in addition to doing the core subjects, must choose their optional subjects depending on their subsequent studies. These optional subjects are offered by the centre.
